CELEBRATING PRINT 2015

KADS New York is pleased to present Celebrating Print 2015 - an annual presentation of contemporary fine art prints by artists of Central and Eastern European backgrounds, and objects created by invited artists as a homage to renowned Czech artist Kveta Pacovska.

THE 2015 CELEBRATING PRINT EXHIBITION

A number of diverse projects, executed in traditional printmaking technqiues, as well as projects exploring boundaries of printmaking will be presented based on selection by New York-based artist and printmaker Mildred Beltre, Associate Professor at University of Vermont.

 

The CPC 2015 artists are (in aphabetical order):

Roman Balaz, Andre Berger, Tobias Crone, Maria Erikson, Beth Ganz, Sadko Hadzihasanovic, Jana Hubatkova, Kama Jackowska, Gergely Karpati, Anna Kenar, Weronika Marszelewska, Eva Nikolova, Kristina Norvilaite, Darina Peeva, Jindrich Pevny, Tatiana Potts, Maria Simeonova, Ana Sladetic, Lenka Stepanikova, Eszter Sziksz, Lenka Vilhelmova and Mojca Zlokarnik.

 

CPC 2015 CHALLENGE

Seven artists were invited to explore the extensive oeuvre of Czech artist Kveta Pacovska (b.1928), known for her artist books, prints and objects, and awarded for her illustrations for children's books (Hans Christian Andersen Medal, 1992).

 

The CPC 2015 Challenge Artists are:

Mildred Beltre, Douglas Collins, Jay Judge, Alena Laufrova, Katerina Kyselica, Franco Marinai and Yasuyo Tanaka.
